TEN IS HAPPENING: Man Kills His Girlfriend, Dumps Her Body at Other Boyfriend’s Place
A South African man who has been identified as Joshua Mathebula stabbed his 24-year-old girlfriend to death before he took his own life.
The incident is said to have happened at Ga-Kabu, Ga-Mashamothane, Limpopo, after he found out, while drunk, that the deceased was in a relationship with a senior teacher from Mogolo Secondary School who also happens to be her ex-lover.
It is said that after killing his girlfriend, the man dumped her body at a rented residence of the teacher with a note stating: ” the same way you used to f*ck her when I’m at work, F*ck her now, she’s all yours”

He then went live on Facebook detailing how he killed his girlfriend at night over the weekend and shared his reasons.
His last words on the stream: “This guy Mr Sehlapelo was after my girlfriend. He dates schoolgirls. He’s the reason she dropped out of High School. He used to date my girlfriend when there.
“My girlfriend who was 26 when she died got back together with him. She cheated on me with him. She tried to build a home with me but was cheating on me while I was at work.
“This guy used to greet me, waving at me, knowing he’s cheating with my girlfriend. I found out about them when I was drunk. She used to get money from this teacher.
“We broke up and got back. She begged me to take her back. I stabbed her with a knife several times and told her to rest in peace. I left her at Meneer Sehlapelo’s door.
“I told him he could have her. I was drunk when I found out but I didn’t kill her because I was drunk. I was angry. Now I’m going to kill myself the same way I killed her.”
“She didn’t deserve what I did to her. Right now I’m live on Facebook. I’m leaving the video live so people can learn. You must give people the story you’ve heard.”

He also shared graphic images of his dead girlfriend on his Facebook page and revealed that he was also going to kill himself.

Thereafter, he drove his black Audi to a nearby river where he wrote a note saying “Call Thomas. Take Me Home – along with contact number”, and hanged himself on a tree.
According to reports, Mathebula was working at a local mining company of Platinum City in Burgersfort and is originally from Tzaneen.

A friend of Mathebula wrote on social media: “The teacher used to see her when she was a pupil after school and then after a gap began seeing her again at her home. She told a few friends she did it because he gave her lots of money for sex while Josh was at work but she thought he would never find out but in the end someone told him.”
The message that Joshua Mathebula put on his Facebook read: “I was happy with this girl but Mr sehlapelwa destroyed us”
“He was really mad on her and was planning to marry her and someone decided it was best he knew what was going on but nobody thought of anything like this.” The friend added.
However, Police and forensic took the deceased while the community is left reeling in shock.
In a shocking turn of an event, the public and private development centre, a non-government organisation, (NGO) has revealed that over 53,000 inmates are awaiting trials across the 253 Correctional Centres in the country.
The non-governmental organisation, who hosted over 20 civil society organisations in Yola, the state capital to discuss the way forward on the huge number of inmates awaiting trials in correctional centres, disclosed this in a statement signed by the Head of Communication and Knowledge Management, Munachi Okoro.
Okoro stated, “The growing number of pretrial detainees, many held for years without trial under dire conditions, poses significant human rights concerns, overwhelming the justice system and correctional facilities.”
The statement added that the meeting will focus on communication strategies, resource management, and collaboration problem solving techniques for pro bono legal services.
Also, speaking at the meeting with the CSOs in Yola, the programme assistant of the centre, Hauwa Yusuf, said that the reforming of the pretrial detention in Nigeria phase ll project is supported by the US Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs.
The Adamawa State Programme Officer Barr. Fatima Bello, while speaking on the overall objectives of the PPDC project, said that the project aimed at deploying over 370 law clinicians and 50 pro bono lawyers to provide legal representation to 1,750 detainees annually.
According to Bello, this will reduce the pretrial population, and it will strengthen Nigeria’s criminal justice system.
Furthermore, she added, “The project aims to support collective efforts towards achieving a reduction in awaiting trial inmates for which more than 70 per cent of those in correctional facilities across Nigeria are awaiting trial.”
However, Bello pointed out that the court administration and case management project is aimed at improving capacity to reduce the challenges in the justice sector.
“The CACM project focuses on addressing the gaps in structures for case management in the courts which are weak or absent in some cases, and for which there are no document backup systems in place,” he stated.

How Qatar Escapes Danger as NDLEA Arrests Wanted Drug Baron, Others Linked to Failed Cocaine Exports to Saudi Arabia
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have said that its body has apprehended a wanted drug baron, Alhaji Suleiman Ganiu Aremu (a.k.a Barryshine), two years after he came under the radar of the anti-narcotics agency over his alleged role in four failed attempts to export cocaine to Saudi Arabia and Qatar through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos between 2022 and 2024.
The agency who disclosed this in a statement via its spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, on Friday, September 13, said that, the suspect is the Managing Director/CEO of Barryshine Suleiman Nigeria Ltd.
Shading more light to the case, the agency elucidated that, his name first featured on November 13, 2022, when a female passenger on a Qatar Airlines flight to Saudi Arabia, Alhaja Ajisegiri Kehinde Sidika was arrested at the MMIA in possession of 400 grams of cocaine, which was concealed inside female footwear.
Furthermore, the agency claimed that, an investigation later revealed that one Abdullahi Olarenwaju Ramon, who is a brother to Suleiman hired the arrested drug courier as further facts emerged that the flight tickets and other travel expenses of the suspect were sourced by Alhaji Suleiman Ganiu Aremu.
Nevertheless, few days after the arrest of Ajisegiri Kehinde Sidika, another drug mule, identified as Lawal Lateef Oyenuga, was also arrested on November 24, 2022, with the same quantity of cocaine, 400 grams, concealed in male footwear while going to the same destination, Saudi Arabia.
Although, NDLEA noted that the suspect, Oyenuga confessed that one Wasiu Sanni Gbolahan (a.k.a Teacher) who was later arrested and convicted by the court, hired him for Suleiman.
The agency said “Lawal further alleged that Wasiu Gbolahan linked him up with the baron through one Igbono, who was later unveiled through investigation as Oluwafemi Akande Abidoye (a.k.a Igbono, Murphy, Femi Iwaya, Ade Iwaya, Baba Eje, and Ejeoto)”
Furthermore, While the investigation of the two cases subsisted and the manhunt for the baron was ongoing, two drug mules were arrested at the MMIA on June 21, 2024, on their way to Doha, Qatar.
“One of the suspects who was later identified as Aikhomoun Daniel (a.k.a Oladapo Olanrewaju) expelled in observation custody a total of 90 pellets of cocaine, weighing 1.022kg, which he ingested, while the second suspect, Ayigoro Waheed Omobolaji excreted 60 wraps of cocaine with a total weight of 662 grams.” the NDLEA said.

SHOCKING!: 20 Chairmanship Aspirants Test Positive for Multiple Drugs in Kano, Says NDLEA
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has said that 20 chairmanship aspirants in Kano State have tested positive for multiple drugs during screening for the upcoming local government elections.
The NDLEA’s Commander in the state, Abubakar Idris Ahmad, who disclosed this, said that the aspirants presented by the ruling NNPP in the state tested positive for substances including opioids, hemp benzodiazepines and nicotine.
Ahmad noted that while no female aspirant had tested positive so far, the screening process was ongoing and that more candidates were expected to be tested before the final verification by the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC).
FREEDOM TIMES however, gathered that KANSIEC had scheduled the elections for October 26, 2024, where 44 chairmanship and 484 councillorship positions will be contested.
